Monroe 90008 Monroe Suspension Conversion Kit Review

The 90008 Strut Kit is designed to replace electronic struts on a 1991 Cadillac Seville. After receiving the kit, an inventory was conducted. One of the instruction sheet said that an insulator was needed at the bottom of the front spring. There was NOT an insulator included in the kit.
A phone call was made to Monroe to get their advise from their technican. The technican said that the insulator should b e used to prevent squeaking and try to use the original one. However, the original was worn out/damaged (OVER 100,000 MILES) and could not be used. New insulator could not be located locally, on the internet, or Monroe.
As a work around a piece of garden hose, with an inside diameter the same as the outside diameter of the spring coil, was install around the bottom of the front spring as an insulator.
Since this kit is made to replaced the original strut assembly (other than the front spring) on the 1991 Cadillac Seville. new front spring insulators should have been included.
Other for the insulator problem as stated above, Monroe 90008 the kit was installed as described in one of the installation instructions. Of course after the installation of this kit, the front end must be realigned.
