This unit is one of the least expensive hitch mounted cargo racks you can get, and while it works fine there are some drawbacks. The square tubing it is made from provides a lot of 'corners' which rapidly lose their protective paint from use and contact with the load and tie downs. It is an odd size; not the 20 inch by 60 inch shown in Amazon's description, but about 45" wide between the rails so most of the bags designed for hitch racks are not an exact fit. The front of the rack does not have a raised rail. There's not much 'floor' to the rack with few bars running across, so smaller items will have to be put in larger containers. And there are no natural tie-down points.

The hooks on the load straps I have would not fit around the rail, and all the bungee cords suffered the same problem. Larger hooks fit but in use tended to slide unless the straps were ratcheted down so hard they might have damaged the cargo. This resulted in the rail tube corners losing their paint, and the load shifting. I have added eyebolts to the rails to use as tie-down points, which works much better.

As others have noted the rack is a little loose in the hitch even with a quality hitch pin. Even with a 150 pound load securely tied down it was clunking as we drove. It also came with its very own internal rattle, probably loose weld slag chunks safely locked inside the tubing.

On the upside, it handled four full jerry cans with no trouble once I got the eyebolts installed for tiedowns, an anti-rattle hitch pin helped quiet the rattles down (though they are an expensive fix for a cheap rack), and Duplicolor 'truck bedliner' spray coating does a good job of patching up the damaged paint.

So you don't get a lot beyond a very basic rack that could use some improvement, but you don't pay much for it either, garnering this a nice average rating.
