I ordered this under the assumption that this can be installed in an afternoon for a shade tree mechanic. Don't believe the 'one hour or less' claim. If you have a late model vehicle, you will run into some difficulties. I took it to the dealership where i bout my '11 Chevy Colorado and had them install it so it wouldn't void my warranty. It took them 4 hours!

Pulling up on the tailgate handle when locked is different because it grabs on the right side and feels as though it will break if you pull too hard. I don't know if it would break, but I'm not going to try and find out. It does work with my power locks just fine.
