The high-profile, wrap-around design is aerodynamically efficient and provides excellent protection for your hood, windshield and fender, deflecting rocks and other hazardous road debris. Impact-modified acrylic material is wear-and-tear resistant and car wash safe, providing maximum durability. It can also be easily removed from the hood for simple cleaning, and includes all installation instructions and required hardware. This hood shield provides easy installation with double-sided 3M tape or mechanical fasteners, with no drilling required. I was worried about installing this, but it was very easy, just four screws and you are done. Only three things I want to note:
1. The instructions indicate that the tabs of the guard are to go "under" the weatherstriping (which is impossible) so dont spend any time worrying about that one. 2. They instruct you to stick the "bump-ons" on the hood of your car....but you really just need to stick them on the back of the bug guard. They still protect your paint, without sticking anything on your paint job. 3. There is plenty of room to wash under it, so dont worry about that....as previously mentioned by another customer, the edges do stick out some...but not bad enough to be unhappy with it. I would buy it again tomorrow if I needed another one.
