I ordered this mirror as part of a pair (driver and passenger-side). This one mounts okay, but one of the trim pieces was slight off (a rubber gasket) that fit perfectly on the passenger-side unit. It isn't enough to compromise the seal, but just an example of what might be a bit uneven quality in these pieces. The electrical lead on this is longer than the factory unit, and won't go back into the mirror housing so I had to coil it a bit on the install--not a big deal--but another point where it varies from the factory 4Runner unit. The real reason I give it 3 stars is vibration over about 55 MPH. It isn't enough to be unsafe or cause real problems, but it is annoying and I will likely replace this unit with a factory mirror and keep the TYC passenger unit that doesn't seem to suffer with the same problem. Below 50 MPH it isn't noticeable, as solid as the OEM unit. The function of the mirror is good; smooth electric tracking, same range of motion as OEM, and it folds okay but not quite as smoothly as the OEM one. If you are looking to replace a set of mirrors, my advice is go with TYC for the passenger unit and spend for OEM on the Driver's side.
